Tall-stilt Mangrove

Rhizopora apiculata is thriving within mangrove ecosystem with humid climate, saline environment, waterlogged soils and capable of tolerating salinity ranging from 2-90%. It has flat yellow to white flower petals. 

Rudrakhsa (Jenitri)

Rudraksha tree or Elaeocarpus ganitrus is revered in India – the Sanskrit name comes from the hard, spherical stones of its fruit, which holds cultural and spiritual value to some religion. The seeds of the rudraksha tree have been used for thousands of years for ritualistic, spiritual, and traditional medicinal purposes. We have planted numerous rudraksha trees, especially in Kebumen, to contribute to the local community’s economy by harnessing the benefits from the dried fruits. 

Oriental Mangrove

Generally, the Bruguiera gymnorrhiza species has pointed-shaped leaves with strong stems and thick roots, powerful in preventing erosion, storing carbon, and being a nursery ground for coastal animals. Most parts of the tree are also beneficial.    

Moluccan Albizia

Moluccan albizia or Paraserianthes falcataria or Falcataria mollucana, in Indonesia widely popular as sengon tree. It is one of the world’s fast-growing trees with its nitrogen-fixing abilities and adaptability to varying soil conditions. It is highly sought over by local farmers in Kebumen planting area for its compatibility with local soil and offers ecological advantages. 

Loop-root Mangrove

Rhizopora mucronata or loop-root mangrove or in Indonesia known as bakau hitam is a small to medium size evergreen tree growing in coastal ecosystem. It is one of the species of mangrove that is effective to protect coastal areas from erosion. It can optimally grow and thrive in areas inundated with tides.
