Marsinem is a resilient woman farmer who continue to cultivate her land despite challenging soil conditions. Since joining Trees4Trees, she has slowly revived her barren fields with new trees and rice crops. With two children working in Jakarta, she hopes that one day, when they return, they’ll find a greener, more vibrant village shaped by her quiet perseverance.

Suprihno

After two decades working as a street food vendor in Yogyakarta, Suprihno returned to his village to take up farming. Living in a drought-prone area that relies heavily on rainwater, he often faces severe water shortages – sometimes collecting water from a cave twice a day during the dry season. By planting trees, he hopes to restore soil health and increase his farm’s productivity.
