Dullah
Alex
Alex is a forest farmer and leader of a Forest Farmer Community in a village in Bandung, West Java. Along with 100 fellow farmers, he holds a 35-year permit to manage a nearby state forest as sharecroppers, growing crops without cutting down trees.
He uses this opportunity to restore forest functions while supporting the local economy. Alongside coffee, he plants fruit trees for income and focuses on native shade trees to maintain ecological balance.
Aditya Swara
Aditya is a young vegetable farmer in a village that often faces water scarcity. After graduating, he chose to pursue farming in his twenties, aiming to improve water access in his community by planting trees alongside his crops.
With support from Trees4Trees, he now manages a demonstration plot, teaching villagers how to plant trees properly. He hopes to engage more residents, especially youth, in restoring the environment and securing water sources.
Sarpin
Through the Trees4Trees tree-planting program, Sarpin has been transforming his land near a village waterfall into a thriving fruit tree orchard. Refusing to sell the land despite tempting offers, he finds true wealth in simplicity, nature, and mentoring the next generation — including his son, who returned from Korea to farm alongside him.
