Nendi

As the leader of “Hutan Karya Tani Mandiri Utama,” Nendi initiated to establish a camping ground to help farmers earn income without cutting down trees for timbers. With support from Trees4Trees, hundreds of new trees added shade and beauty, boosting ecotourism. Now, it’s Citaman Village’s top destination, attracting hundreds of weekend visitors.

Heri Rosyadi

Heri gained agricultural knowledge from his previous job on a plantation. After returning home, I initiated a farmer group called ‘Citra Muda’ to bring together young people aged 17 to 30 and get them involved in farming. The goal was to ensure the future of farming in their village. The group has now grown to around 46 members, all young people from the village.

Tameja

Tameja, a lifelong farmer joined Trees4Trees tree-planting program and successfully revitalized his land with coffee, spices, and other trees in an agroforestry system. Though none of his five children chose farming, he continues to plant with purpose, turning his fields into a living legacy of resilience, tradition, and hope for future generations.

Rohmanuddin

Rohmanudin integrated trees he planted with cassava and coffee in an agroforestry system. Beyond improving land productivity, his goal is to restore the green, lush landscape of his village, where forests have been cleared and replaced by residential and industrial development.

Ade Yuhanda

Ade is one of the few young men in his village who has dedicated himself to farming, a tradition he inherited from his family. Despite holding a degree in economics, he chose to stay and promote agroforestry. To this day, he has empowered over 50 women and helped green his village through sustainable farming and a small agricultural business he initiated.

Rasito

From the coffee trees he planted, Rasito has already harvested a few times, yielding 5 kilograms each time and was recognized as the Trees4Trees Best Farmer in 2019.
