Among trees planted by Tasum, he discovered the value of the rudraksha tree for its spiritually significant fruits, which became his livelihood for more than a decade.
Previously, Sar’an planted shading trees like mahogany and gmelina. The trees he received from Trees4Trees enrich the variety of trees in his field. Unlike others, he has kept his land from being sold. In his seventies, he is motivated to restore soil fertility in his village amid land conversion.
